Ponte Sant'Angelo, originally the Aelian Bridge or Pons Aelius, is a Roman bridge in Rome, Italy, completed in 134 AD by Roman Emperor Hadrian (Publius Aelius Hadrianus), to span the Tiber from the city centre to his newly constructed mausoleum, now the towering Castel Sant'Angelo. But the thing I like the most of this market is the fact that it stretches along the cycle path, close to the river and to a beautiful bridge (Ponte Milvio) that is often overlooked, since it is a bit further away from the city centre. A bridge of angels! As other reviewers alluded, this is by far the most beautiful bridge in Rome and given the amount of public art here in the Eternal City, that's really saying something.

We were heading to the wonderful restaurant and bar Roma Beer Company and Ponte Milvio was a couple of minutes walk away.
